Abstract-Modern and efficient methods focus on signal

 

processing and have drawn researchers’ attention to

 

themselves in recent years. These methods mainly are Wavelet

 

Packet transforms. The wavelet packet transform (WPT) is an

 

extension of the Wavelet Transform, which provides a complete

 

level-by-level decomposition of signal. The present paper a

 

truss structure has gone under modal and dynamic analysis

 

through finite element software (ANSYS 5.4) and then a

 

wavelet analysis is conducted using the wavelet toolbox of

 

MATLAB 7.1. Later on, energy rate index is suggested

 

according to wavelet package and the results are presented in

 

2D charts of index and location concluding that wavelet theory

 

is of great capabilities in analyzing a structure’s signal analysis

 

response and identifying disorders in structure systems.
